We welcome you to explore our website and learn about our school community!
Muslims and Islam have a rich history of education, knowledge, and enlightenment. During the Islamic Golden Age from the 8th to the 14th centuries, scholars across the Muslim world made significant contributions to mathematics, science, medicine, philosophy and literature.
At Muslim Academy, we draw inspiration from this history. By recognizing the importance of education in Islam's past, we are motivated to pursue knowledge and excellence in today's world. This legacy serves as a reminder that learning and intellectual growth are central to both personal and societal progress, urging Muslims to lead in the modern fields of science, technology and the arts.

Muslim Academy opened its doors in August of 2000 with about 40 students in grades PreK through 4th. In 2006, we earned an Approved classification from the State of Louisiana Department of Education. More grades and more students were welcomed each year and we held commencement for our first graduating class in May 2010.
We offer only the TOPS University level diploma, the most rigorous offered by the State of Louisiana. Since then, we've been sending our graduates on to colleges, universities, and successful careers in every field.
We have grown significantly and maintain an average student count of approximately 330 each year, with a student to teacher ratio of about 16:1
Inshallah, the community has plans to construct a new High School in the coming years to allow for expansion of the entire school.
Conveniently located for the Westbank's large Muslim population, Muslim Academy is an important feature of our community. We are State Approved and our diploma is accepted by all colleges and universities.
Learning and growing together alhumdulillah!
